This was a fun one! Dogbone absolutely tore it up (as usual!) with their dynamic and distinctly Humboldt-tinged jazz set, Jasen mellowed us out & got us deep in our feelings with his first performance since his move to Humboldt, & then Garden Sesssions got playful & weird with really interesting sonic textures over rock-solid drumming to send us out into the night on a high note!

Unfortunately, during this event, someone stole a one-of-a-kind jacket from the shop. Artist Lora Bristow had purchased this gray tweed-type blazer-type jacket & had stitched a unique quilted patch onto the back — she’s a quilter — and on this evening, someone decided that stealing from a local microbusiness & an independent maker was an okay thing to do. If you see someone around town wearing this jacket (it’s very distinctive!), we request that you please ask them — loudly & in public — why they thought that was acceptable behavior. They are taking food directly out of the mouths of their community members. We are very, very distraught about this loss. Fortunately, incidents such as these have been rare, but every single one is truly a huge hit for a business that is so small & new.
