4-Piece Porcelain Tea Set by Melodie Sidhu
A graduate of the Cal Poly Humboldt ceramics program, Melodie Sidhu says, “My ceramics practice is an exploration of form and design. It also serves as a reflection of my cultural heritage. Using primarily porcelain, I enjoy the delicacy, its resilience and challenging properties. I draw inspiration from growing up in an Indian community. Someone was always getting married, so we attended weddings at least three times out of the year. While attending weddings and other cultural gatherings, I was exposed to some of the most beautiful designs and colors. The traditional garbs were decorated with paisleys, mandalas, and flowers with lots of gold and silver accents.”
This four-piece porcelain wheel-thrown tea set features intricate cobalt blue designs & silver luster adornment. It shows some chipping that is by design; it was made in recent years, but already reads as a family heirloom collection. This is a one-of-a-kind set, available only through Good Day Shop.
In the summer of 2025, Melodie left Humboldt to pursue a higher ceramics education opportunity in Arkansas. We are deeply honored to be entrusted with selling through the last of her existing collection.
