Good Day Shop is thrilled to curate seasonal installations of local art at NorCal Casas Realty Services, located at 637 F St. in Arcata. 

        The partnership began with a group art show titled Home is Where the Art Is, curated by Good Day Shop proprietor Marta Lapczynski, which opened at NorCal Casas on October 17th, 2025 & remained on view & available for purchase through the end of the month. Several original art pieces sold during this two-week period.

The inaugural show, Home is Where the Art Is, featured Humboldt local artists Bonnie Hossack, Maddy Hunt, Firefly Mizera, Mark Shikuma, Will Suiter, & Augie Tapia.

        So pleased to see her office transformed by the vibrancy & warmth of local art, NorCal Casas owner Celia Pimentel-Khatri decided, along with Good Day Shop owner Marta Lapczynski, to extend the collaboration between the two small businesses indefinitely; Lapczynski now curates local art installations at the NorCal Casas office year-round, featuring one artist each season.

If you are a Humboldt local artist interested in showing at NorCal Casas, please send an email to hello@gooddayhumboldt.com & cc: norcalcasas@gmail.com with the subject “LOCAL ARTIST.”

Include some introductory information about yourself & 4-8 PDF samples of specific pieces you’re interested in showcasing, citing media used & measurements in inches. Please note we can only accept wall-hung art for this space. If you are selected to have your work shown, please be prepared to provide printed cards with titles & prices for each piece, & understand sales will be reconciled one time at the end of the season, & you as the artist will retain 60% of the total dollar amount received from sales.

Celia & Marta will work together to select art that is best suited to the NorCal Casas office each season. We look forward to receiving your email! You will subsequently receive a response from Marta letting you know either we don’t believe your work is the right fit for this particular context or that we’ve added you to the waitlist, & if we’ve added you to the waitlist, we’ll do our best to give a rough indication of when in the future we expect to be able to accept your work for display.
